The WRFU Future XV program aims to promote the development of college rugby players within Whanganui. There are many layers to preparing athletes for performance. Successful applicants will be exposed to Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition, Mental Skills (coping strategies, goal setting), Leadership Growth, and other development criteria needed to level up as a rugby player.

Our goal is to push our players forward to represent Whanganui at higher levels: i.e., at Hurricanes and New Zealand age grade levels.

If your ambition is to make yourself the best rugby player you can be, we are here to provide you with the tools to be that player.

Konradd Newland said, "the Future XV program allowed me to further understand the importance of making the most of every opportunity that may arise and when they do, giving it 100%.” Konradd has certainly taken every opportunity with both hands and has made them count with representative honours for both NZ and the Hurricanes in his long list of achievements.
